A word from our pastor
You are welcome here.
We are ordinary people who believe an extraordinary thing: God saves sinners through Jesus Christ, and His Word is enough to build a life on. Come as you are, bring your questions, and stay after to talk. We would love to meet you this Sunday.
Pastor Josh Baker

Know God
The best news you'll ever hear
Sin separates us from God, and none of us can fix that on our own. So God came to us. Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and anyone who turns from sin and trusts Him receives forgiveness and eternal life.
“But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
Word. Pray. Love. Go.
These four words shape everything we do together. Here's where you fit.

Preaching through the Gospel of John
We preach through books of the Bible one passage at a time, so the Bible sets the message, not the preacher.
Our history
150 years of ministry in Lenoir
Tabernacle Advent Christian Church was founded in 1876. In 2026 we celebrated 150 years with a homecoming weekend, remembering God's faithfulness to every generation who has worshiped here.
We're part of the Advent Christian family of churches. We hold to the authority of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the hope of His return. Our life together is simple on purpose: Word. Pray. Love. Go.
